“DWTS Shake-Up Confirmed”: Carrie Ann Inaba ABSENT From Cast Reveal Due to Contract Conflicts, Sparking Rumors of Behind-the-Scenes Drama That Could Change the Show Forever
On September 3, “Dancing With the Stars” fans finally found out which celebrities and professional dancers would be competing on Season 34. Some, such as Robert Irwin, Alix Earle, Jen Affleck, and Whitney Leavitt, had already been announced. But it was exciting to see many rumored contestants confirmed.
But Carrie Ann Inaba was missing from the big “Good Morning America” reveal. However, despite the longtime judge’s absence, she’s been officially confirmed for Season 34.
Carrie Ann Inaba Not on GMA, But She’s Definitely Coming Back for Season 34
While judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli were on GMA for the cast reveal, many noticed that Carrie Ann Inaba wasn’t. On the show’s Instagram video, one DWTS fan asked, “No Carrie Ann?” Another fan quickly responded.
“She couldn’t make it to the GMA announcement, but she will be there when the show starts,” she wrote.
It isn’t clear why Inaba couldn’t make it, nor has she responded to those questioning her absence. Her last Instagram post was a throwback photo of her, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli, in which she reminisced about them being “just babies” at their first photo shoot 20 years ago.
Others thought that her Instagram story from a week ago had something to do with her absence. On August 27, she posted a photo to her stories titled “DWTS Season 34 Male Pros,” featuring a photo of all the male dancers that were announced on GMA. “Okay… Let’s go Season 34 Make [Male] Pros!” She commented underneath. She deleted it shortly after, but many took screenshots and shared it on Reddit.
“Not Carrie Ann breaking her NDA,” a Redditor wrote.
“I’m laughing!!! She’s definitely not allowed to be posting that stuff but she is,” commented another.
Whatever her reason for missing out, most fans are happy that Inaba will be returning.
Why ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Continues to Captivate
When “Dancing With the Stars” premiered in 2005, things were much different from what they are now. We didn’t even have iPhones yet.
“There was no Twitter, there was [barely any] social media,” showrunner Conrad Green told TV Insider. “The celebrity landscape has changed enormously. Even television has changed, but the core concepts of what makes a good contestant and what makes someone relatable are the same now as they were 20 years ago.”

However, while some things change, the reason people keep tuning into the show remains the same.
“Thankfully, people love to be inspired and watch somebody that they can relate to,” Inaba said. “Just getting out on our dance floor is winning.”
"Marlo Hampton Proudly Shows Off Her Mortgage-Free $850K Townhouse — A Major Flex Over Porsha and the RHOA Ladies!" 💅🏽✨

BREAKING: Marlo Hampton has just given fans an exclusive look inside her stunning $850K Atlanta townhouse, and she's not holding back on the details! 🏡 In a recent video, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star proudly pointed out the major difference between herself and some of the other ladies on the show, particularly Porsha Williams — while Porsha may have flashy gifts and luxury cars, Marlo’s home is paid for in full, and there's no mortgage to worry about. 💰
Marlo made it crystal clear that her townhouse was gifted to her by her former billionaire boyfriend, and it remains free and clear, with no outstanding debt to tie her down. While some of the other RHOA stars have had plenty to say about her living in a townhouse instead of a sprawling mansion, Marlo’s confident that it’s not about the size — it’s about owning what’s hers. In fact, she said, “No mortgage, no worries. This house is mine and was gifted to me years ago.” That’s a big flex for anyone, especially in the world of Real Housewives where appearances can sometimes be deceiving.
While some fans may have thought Marlo was going to go the route of building a new, more extravagant home, Marlo shared that she’s perfectly comfortable with where she is right now. It’s a reminder that luxury doesn’t always have to come with a price tag — and Marlo's success and independence speak for themselves. She’s living proof that you don’t have to be the loudest or the flashiest to own your success. Sometimes, the quiet confidence of owning your space, without any financial strings attached, says it all. 🔑✨
Marlo’s openness about her financial freedom and how she built her own empire, without relying on others, is something that many fans are praising. In a world where materialism often rules, Marlo is standing firm in her pride for the life she’s created on her own terms.
It’s a classic example of a RHOA star owning her narrative, and now, it’s clear that Marlo Hampton is letting nothing — not even the shady remarks from her co-stars — stand in the way of her owning what she’s built.
