Katie Ginella Discusses Being ‘Blocked’ From Filming With RHOC Cast & Her Surprise at Lack of Backlash From Fans, Plus Future on Show and ‘Needing Apologies’ at Reunion
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Katie Ginella is on the outs with most of her castmates. Now, she’s opening up about what led to her status with the ladies, if she plans to attend the reunion, and her overall future on the long-running Bravo series.
Katie, 41, is currently in her second season on the show. Unfortunately, much of the season has centered around her talking to bloggers about the other ladies, and now reports say she won’t be on the show for a while. Despite this, she has received considerable support from fans, and she remains in touch with Tamra Judge, 58.
US Weekly recently interviewed the RHOC star. The interviewer began by asking Katie if it was true she had been “blocked out of filming with the women.”
“It is true. I filmed a couple of scenes with a couple of different housewives one-on-one,” Katie responded. “I filmed a lot at home, but I did not do a scene with the whole cast after that.”
“It’s just very telling of where everyone is in their minds and kind of icing me out,” she said after being asked how not filming with the cast made her feel. Katie also said she believed there would have been a path forward with her RHOC co-stars.
She went on, “My name has been the topic of every single scene this season. So, I thought, why would we take me out, but I am actually very appreciative to the network for taking me out because I think they saw it, and I saw it as something that wasn’t very healthy for me to be in.”
The interviewer then asked about her reaction to being told not to film with the ladies. Katie explained, “I think it was hard for all of us to figure out a place for me in this group of women after that Persian New Year Party.” She went on to say that it was not “one person” who led to her status with the group and that fans will see it play out.
However, when asked if she thought it was one person who said they couldn’t film with her, Katie said, “I do. I think it came from one person who maybe set me up for something and made other people believe something untrue about me.”
The interview continued, and Katie confirmed that she would be attending the reunion and BravoCon. “You know, a lot of people are saying, ‘If Katie comes back, I won’t,’ so maybe we should just all read the comments and see who they want to come back,” she added.
Katie was also asked what she wants cleared up at the reunion. She thought for a second and then said she only needed apologies from the ladies.
“I don’t think I need anything cleared up. I think I need some apologies,” she said.
They then discussed the audience’s reaction to this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County and if she thought her castmates were surprised by the support fans have given to Katie. She stated, “100 percent.” Katie also explained that she initially thought the viewers would have more criticism for her over how she handled the season.
She added, “I thought I would get more feedback from them, as in, ‘Hey, this didn’t look good. I could have handled it a different way. I’m sorry.’ It’s been crickets.”
When asked if there were times when she wasn’t filming that she wanted to clear the air, Katie reiterated that she wanted to attend the cast trip to Amsterdam to “clear some things up.”
Finally, when asked if she’d want to return to RHOC, Katie said, “You know, I’m just going to reserve that answer for seeing the season through and getting through the reunion.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Thursday nights.
Is Billy Abbott His Own Worst Enemy on Young and the Restless?

All he wants to do is take down Victor, but this time it could cost him.
Billy wants to get his hands on Chancellor. But he also wants to take down Victor. He can’t help but accept Cane’s lucrative offer. Billy becomes his own worst enemy when he has revenge on his mind on The Young and the Restless.
Cane Plays a Cruel Game
Sally (Courtney Hope) was angry that Cane (Billy Flynn) destroyed their launch party, and rightfully so. She warned Billy (Jason Thompson) about working with Cane. But in the back of his mind, all he was thinking about was taking down Victor (Eric Braeden). This could be his real chance of finally getting what he wants.
Billy’s had many opportunities in the past, and they never worked out. Working alongside Cane might finally give him the vengeance he’s been desperately seeking. But he could end up in jail. Sally isn’t the only one who’s upset with Billy for mulling over this.
Jack (Peter Bergman) also wanted answers. Billy said he would tell him tomorrow, but Jack wanted to know now. That’s when Sally finally told Jack that it was Cane who cancelled the launch party, not them.
What Will He Choose?
Billy wants time to figure out his next move. But Sally and Jack know him better than that. They don’t want him to follow along with Cane’s illegal games. Yet, Billy will defy both of them for victory over Victor. (Find out why Y&R fans fear for Victor’s future.)
Now, he’s in danger of losing his girlfriend and his brother. Is it worth it? Sally loves who Billy is, and she knows that he deserves better. Jack doesn’t want him to spiral. But it might be hard for Sally and Jack to stop him.
Because when Billy spirals, he becomes his own worst enemy. All he can think about is getting revenge on Victor. Back at his apartment, Billy grabbed a bottle and drank from it. He promised, “Victor, you’ve underestimated me for the last time. Billy-boy is coming for you!”
