The creator of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is returning with a new reality project that aims to spotlight a side of Atlanta audiences haven’t seen before.
Princess Banton-Lofters, the force behind Bravo’s top-rated franchise, has teamed up with entrepreneur and childcare mogul Sherri J. White to launch The Childcare Cartel, a reality docuseries currently in development.
Set against the backdrop of Atlanta’s booming daycare industry, the series focuses on the women who dominate this high-stakes world.
The cast features Sherri J. White as both executive producer and anchor, alongside Janaya Burke, Keisha “Starr” Archer, and Sydney Jordan. Together, they represent a billion-dollar business that blends ambition, personal sacrifice, and family dynamics.
Viewers can expect a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a thriving childcare empire while navigating friendships, rivalries, and personal challenges.
Princess Banton-Lofters said she was drawn to the project because of its groundbreaking premise. “I am beyond thrilled to announce that I have partnered with powerhouse childcare industry vet Sherri J. White to produce the groundbreaking docu-series, The Childcare Cartel,” she said in a statement. “With our combined dedication and close to two decades of expertise in our respective fields, we are committed to creating a truly compelling and entertaining show!”
For Sherri J. White, who has spent more than 17 years building her own childcare businesses in Atlanta, the show is about rewriting narratives and powerfully elevating women. “I birthed The Childcare Cartel to put the hustle, heart, and high stakes of childcare on reality TV,” White explained. “And Princess Banton-Lofters came in at the perfect moment, stamping that this is indeed history in the making. She’s a seasoned industry powerhouse who’s built culture-shifting empires, and together, we’re about to make history so loud they’ll still be talking about it decades from now.”
The project promises a raw and cinematic portrayal of the women at the center of Atlanta’s daycare community. White described it as a story about more than just business.
“Viewers can expect a raw, cinematic look at what it takes to be a woman running a high-stakes business while still living a full, complicated life,” she said. “It’s about the bold moves, the breakdowns, the sisterhood, and the quiet resilience that comes when you have to show up for others even when you’re running on empty.”
She added that her ultimate hope is to inspire women to embrace their power while staying grounded in reality. “I want viewers, especially women, to see that you can be both ambitious and human,” she said. “That you can lead a team, negotiate a contract, and still have moments where you cry in your car before walking into a meeting. The women on this show aren’t just building businesses, they’re building lives, and they’re doing it with hustle, grace, and a little bit of glam.”
For Princess Banton-Lofters, The Childcare Cartel is a continuation of the legacy she started with The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Known for creating a series that redefined the reality genre and elevated the careers of Black women on television, she sees this new project as another step in shifting the narrative. By teaming with White, she is helping develop a series that showcases women of color as multidimensional leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries.
