RHOSLC Star Mary Cosby’s Son Robert Jr. Arrested on Charges of Assault & Trespassing After Attempted Break-in at Father-in-Law’s Home
Mary Cosby‘s son, Robert Cosby Jr., was arrested on Saturday and hit with a number of charges, including assault and trespassing.
Just days before the 52-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member hinted that her son, whom she shares with husband Robert Cosby, was no longer sober, Robert Jr. was taken into custody after an alleged attempted break-in and fight at the home of his father-in-law.
According to an arrest report obtained by TMZ on September 11, police responded to a call outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, which claimed Robert Jr. had tried to gain access to the home, presumably that of his wife Alexiana’s dad, through a dog door before assaulting someone in the front yard.
After first refusing to do as the police ordered and get on the ground, Robert Jr. complied and was taken into custody, where he was dealt with several charges, including failing to stop at the command of law enforcement, criminal trespassing, and assault.
He was also accused of three violations of a past court order, as his bail was set at $5,000.
As RHOSLC fans may recall, Robert Jr. was arrested for DUI in 2022 and later found himself back in trouble with the law when he allegedly failed to prove he completed a court-ordered rehab stay pertaining to the case. However, after an emotional conversation on season five about his addiction to pills, Mary said at the reunion that Robert Jr. had gone to rehab and was doing “good.”
Days prior to her son’s arrest, Mary admitted her son was on a “hardcore road.”
“He’s doing as good as he can. It’s his journey,” Mary shared on Tuesday’s episode of SiriusXM’s Reality Checked. “You can’t do it if your mind’s not made up. And I can’t make it up for him. I can just only push him, encourage him, and love him. And that’s what I’m doing. And that’s kind of where we are.”
“But he’s still on that road, and it’s a hardcore road,” she admitted. “It’s tough to watch as a mom. It’s hurtful to see his dad is most of the time devastated. But at the same time, I have hope and I believe in him.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six premieres on Tuesday, September 16, at 8/7c on Bravo.
“No Chrisley Welcome”: Patricia Altschul THROWS SHADE as Todd Chrisley’s Move to Charleston Delayed, DECLARES He’ll NEVER Step Foot in Her World, Promises Feuds, Social Warfare, and Southern Showdowns Ahead

Patricia Altschul isn’t just disapproving — she’s drawing battle lines. The Charleston socialite erupted publicly after news that Todd Chrisley’s relocation to the historic Southern city has been delayed, leaving fans and insiders bracing for a rivalry that could ignite the city’s elite social scene like never before.
“He will never step foot in my world,” Patricia spat, her words slicing through the Charleston air. “Charleston has its traditions, its elegance, and its rules — Todd Chrisley understands none of them. And he will pay for the audacity of trying.”
Insiders claim the tension is already boiling behind the scenes. Patricia has allegedly been rallying allies, warning Charleston’s social circles of Chrisley’s impending arrival, and preparing for what one source described as “a full-scale social war.” Patrons of Charleston’s exclusive events report whispers of sabotage, strategic social snubs, and plans to publicly humiliate Chrisley at the slightest opportunity.
“Patricia sees this as a personal threat, not just a social one,” the source added. “Todd’s reputation, his showmanship, his ability to command attention — all of it challenges her dominance. She’s preparing to go nuclear.”
The feud isn’t just about personalities. Rumors swirl that past business rivalries, social media spats, and long-standing family alliances are set to collide, promising moments of public embarrassment and dramatic confrontations. Observers say Patricia could use charity galas, high-profile dinners, and even local media coverage to undermine Chrisley’s every move — all while asserting her unchallenged reign over Charleston society.
Fans are already speculating about explosive encounters: Patricia delivering icy glares at cocktail parties, Chrisley attempting to charm his way in, whispers behind closed doors, and potential confrontations captured for social media virality. Every handshake, every smile, every photo opportunity could become ammunition in a feud that shows no signs of cooling down.
Patricia herself promises this won’t be subtle. “I’ve survived scandals, betrayals, and heartbreaks,” she said, her voice sharp as steel. “Todd Chrisley stepping into Charleston thinking he can disrupt me? He’s about to learn that I don’t just defend my city — I annihilate anyone who tries to claim it.”
As Charleston’s elite hold their breath, one thing is clear: this isn’t just a feud. It’s a war of power, influence, and pride — with Patricia Altschul standing tall, ready to turn every event, every gathering, and every camera lens into her battlefield. And for Todd Chrisley? There’s no roadmap for survival in a city where Patricia doesn’t just play the game — she rules it.
