General Hospital’s Finola Hughes: ‘I Don’t Think I Could Be More Excited About This’
As viewers, we watch our favorite characters form bonds onscreen, some with friends and others with their fictional families. However, when the cameras stop rolling, many of those bonds remain between the daytime stars like in the case of General Hospital’s Finola Hughes and Kimberly McCullough. Not only did they play mother and daughter Anna and Robin but they remained friends after McCullough, who grew up on the ABC soap, left to work behind the camera.
Since then, McCullough has taken the lead on over 20 projects as a director and stepped in as a producer on others and her latest accomplishment has left Hughes as proud as a “mama” could be. The actress posted a special message to her TV daughter in regard to being an executive producer for the upcoming Disney series Coven Academy…
“I don’t think I could be more excited about this if my friend was co-producing it!” Hughes shared then went on to state, “Oh wait she is! Tim and Kimberly McCullough dream team strikes again. This entire show looks amazing.”
The single-camera, supernatural dramedy stars Beverly Hills, 90210’s Tiffani Thiessen and follows teen witch apprentices as they join forces to protect New Orleans as an approaching dark force threatens the city. Keep an eye out for its premiere in 2026.
Of the project, McCullough also shared the news on her official Instagram and sent Federle a shoutout, “What a dream! Congratulations! So proud.” And we too send the “dream team” our congrats!
