Maple Leafs Goalie Cayden Primeau Caught in the Crosshairs After Embarrassing Loss

An embarrassing loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets has Maple Leafs goalie Cayden Primeau caught in the crosshairs of a Sportsnet Analyst and Producer.

Sam McKee Tees Off on Primeau During Leafs Talk
The Leafs had James Reimer on a PTO prior to claiming Primeau off of waivers, but the move was never anything more than a gamble. Even with Reimer, as McKee alluded to on Tuesday evening, it probably wouldn't have been any better in Toronto.
Primeau was originally drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 7th round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, and spent 6 years with the organization following his NCAA career before ultimately signing as a free agent in Carolina this summer.

Disrespectful Jordan Love take gets ‘Freezing Cold Takes’ treatment before Packers-Panthers

The internet is full of hot takes. In the realm of pro sports, hot, bold, confident claims add spice. However, hot takes are always going to be susceptible to ridicule. Just take for example one take from way back in the 2023 NFL offseason, when a Bill Zimmerman said something unfavorable to Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love.
“The Green Bay Packers have the worst starting quarterback in the NFC North. That felt good to type,” Zimmerman’s post read.
At that time, Love was just about to succeed Aaron Rodgers as the full-time starter under center for Green Bay. The Minnesota Vikings had Kirk Cousins, the Chicago Bears had Justin Fields and the Detroit Lions had Jared Goff.
Wild take about Packers’ Love in 2023 gets exposed two years later
Zimmerman’s take on Love got attention again of late because popular sports X account, “Freezing Cold Takes,” featured it in one of its recent posts.
Over two years after Zimmerman decided to take that thought off his chest and share it on the internet, Love has the Packers rolling atop the NFC North with a 5-1-1 record through eight weeks in the 2025 NFL season.
Also, Love just won the NFC offensive player of the week for Week 8 after leading the Packers to a 35-25 win over Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Love threw for 360 passing yards and three touchdowns versus the Steelers, and now has a total of 1,798 passing yards and 13 touchdowns against only two interceptions on a 70.9 percent completion rate after seven games.
Love can add more to his numbers this coming Sunday, when the Packers host the Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field.
