The Rinse: Was Britt’s Secret Boss Revealed On September 8 General Hospital?
Is this Britt’s secret boss?
Now that things are getting down to the wire for Britt, her secret boss may have just been revealed during the September 8, 2025 episode of General Hospital. And no, it’s not Valentin.
Jason To The Rescue
When Jason (Steve Burton) barged in to save Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), he found out she was being held captive by an ankle bomb. One wrong move, and it’s all over for the doctor who already escaped death more than once.
In true Jason fashion, he was determined to save Britt…that was, until she told him Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was there and also being held captive. She explained Joss claimed to be WSB and is being held in a nearby room, and that was all she had to say for Jason to drop what he was doing to help Britt and go save his best friend’s daughter.
Britt’s Boss Is…
Meanwhile, just as Bluesy Burke debuted as GH’s new Charlotte, Brennan (Chris McKenna) called an old frenemy for Intel now that he learned Colette is a double agent. On his computer screen was Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), live from prison. Brennan asked for everything he knows about Colette in exchange for Valentin getting a visit from his daughter.
“Haunted by His Past”: Joan Vassos REVEALS Ongoing Struggles With Chock Chapple’s Old Flames After Nearly a Year Together, As Explosive Fights, Broken Trust, and Lingering Secrets Threaten to Destroy Their Love
Joan Vassos is finally pulling back the curtain on her relationship with Chock Chapple — and what she reveals is far from the fairytale fans imagined. Nearly a year into their romance, Joan admits she’s still haunted by the ghosts of Chock’s past, and the weight of old flames, broken trust, and hidden secrets has left their love teetering on the edge.
“I thought time would heal it,” Joan confessed, her voice trembling with both love and frustration. “But the past doesn’t just disappear. When someone you love has a history filled with unfinished business, you feel it every day. I try to be strong, I try to focus on us, but sometimes it feels like I’m competing with shadows.”
Old Flames That Won’t Fade
Insiders close to the couple say Joan’s insecurities aren’t unfounded. “Chock has a lot of baggage from previous relationships — exes who still linger around, stories that keep resurfacing, and whispers that follow him wherever he goes,” one source revealed. “It’s been tough for Joan. Every time she feels like they’ve moved forward, another reminder of his past pulls them two steps back.”
Explosive Fights Behind Closed Doors
Though they’ve tried to keep a united front in public, friends say the private arguments have been intense. “Joan feels blindsided whenever a new detail comes out — a text, a rumor, an unexpected encounter,” an insider explained. “It’s led to screaming matches, silent nights, and tears that neither of them can ignore. The trust between them has cracks that keep widening.”
Secrets That Linger
What makes it worse, Joan says, are the things left unsaid. “It’s not just what I know — it’s what I don’t know,” she admitted. “Every time I think I have the full truth, something else emerges. I love him, but how can love survive if I’m always wondering what else is hiding in the dark?”
A Love on the Brink
Despite the turmoil, Joan insists she hasn’t given up hope. “Chock has shown me parts of himself that are beautiful — kind, loving, protective,” she said softly. “But when the past keeps creeping in, it’s like it’s fighting to destroy the future we’re trying to build. I don’t want to lose him, but I can’t keep living in doubt either.”
Friends say the next few months will be critical for the couple. Either they confront the ghosts head-on and rebuild trust, or the weight of old flames and lingering secrets may be too much to overcome. “This isn’t just about love anymore,” one insider warned. “It’s about survival. And right now, no one knows if their relationship will make it out alive.”
It was Valentin’s reveal that may have teased Britt’s boss. The Cassadine revealed that Colette had past dealings with Faison (Anders Hove), but Brennan was quick to shoot that theory down, reminding Valentin that villain was dead and gone.
While Valentin didn’t have any more answers for the WSB station chief, it’s easy to assume who the boss may be. Considering his past crimes as Faison’s son, the boss may very well be none other than Peter August (Wes Ramsey). He may also be presumed dead, but in Port Charles, does anyone ever truly die?
On the September 9 GH, we’ll be getting back to the drama of Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting when Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) says too much, while Portia (Brook Kerr) plots her next move.
