What Happened to TJ on General Hospital?
General Hospital seemingly dropped TJ Ashford after his relationship with Molly fizzled out due to grief.
General Hospital hasn’t used Tajh Bellow as TJ Ashford in almost a year. After his split from Molly, the doctor seemingly disappeared from Port Charles without so much as a goodbye. With Bellow nominated for a Daytime Emmy role as TJ, a renewed interest in what happened to him has been piqued.
Key Takeaways
- TJ Ashford has been missing from GH since December 2024, sparking questions about his absence.
- His breakup with Molly marked the end of one of Port Charles’s longest-running young-love stories.
- Actor Tajh Bellow remains on recurring status, but the character has yet to resurface onscreen.
- Despite family still in town, TJ has vanished without mention, leaving fans wondering where he went.
- With Molly moving toward Cody, any chance of a TJ-Molly reunion appears to be off the table—for now.
TJ Ashford on GH
Bellow was the third TJ Ashford on GH. He took over from Tequan Richmond, who held the role from 2012 through October 2018. Richmond took over for the original TJ, Krys Meyer, who only worked on the ABC soap for a few months.
Much of TJ’s story has revolved around his relationship with Molly (Kristen Vaganos). They met as teenagers and entered into a domestic partnership as adults. Both had big dreams and pursued them with determination. TJ became a doctor employed at General Hospital, and Molly works for the District Attorney’s office.
Things began to deteriorate between TJ and Molly when Kristina (Kate Mansi) became their surrogate. Things escalated because he wasn’t happy with her behavior, which strained their relationship. When Kristina fell from Ava’s (Maura West) Metro Court window and their baby girl died, it was all downhill.
Not only were they grieving the loss of their daughter, Irene, but they were grieving separately. They didn’t lean on each other, and their relationship suffered to the point that they no longer were on the same page. TJ was hopeful that they would have another child, but Molly couldn’t stand to think about having another baby.
TJ and Molly ended things. She went to live with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and he was left behind in the apartment they shared.
Where has TJ Been?
The last time TJ was on GH was in December 2024. Kristina briefly mentioned him, but he wasn’t shown on GH. Bellow went to recurring status in an official capacity earlier this year, but he still hasn’t been used or mentioned much.
Despite having family in Port Charles, including his mother, Jordan (Tanisha Harper), there is no trace of him anywhere. Interestingly, having Lucas (Van Hansis) and Isaiah (Swandi Wilson) around seems to fill the doctor quota at General Hospital.
TJ hasn’t been officially written out, but when he will pop up again remains anyone’s guess. The writers have already been working on pairing Molly with Cody (Josh Kelly), so any reconciliation between Molly and TJ is unlikely.
The Walking Dead finally gives the fans what they want (and it's about time)

The Walking Dead franchise has been finding a way to thrill and entertain its devoted fanbase even beyond the end of the original show. Rick Grimes' adventures allowed for more to follow, as the most frightening franchise on television was able to spawn an entire shared universe of zombie shows, with some set in the past and others set in the future - all of which showed us various aspects, times, and perspectives of the vivid TWD Universe.
Through those perspectives, we encountered some strong friendships over the years. From Rick and Hershel's kinship to Rosita and Eugene's unlikely bond, there have been plenty of fan-favorite friendships over the course of the TWD Universe's time on our screens. But there is one that is bigger than all of them, and it has lasted through to the stories of the newer spinoffs.
What's even better is that, after the most recent season of the TWD Universe, made a divisive decision to separate those two beloved characters, the upcoming season finale will listen to the fans and bring them back together.
AMC confirms Daryl and Carol will reunite in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 finale
AMC has unveiled the first look at The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 finale through an exclusive clip and it confirms that Daryl and Carol Peletier will be reunited before the credits roll on the season. The clip was released at New York Comic-Con to promote the spinoff's upcoming third season finale and it's an emotional one that reminds us just how great Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride are - especially when they share scenes together.
The clip features Daryl opening up to Carol about his tendency to always run away, which he always saw as a means of survival - something that Carol reminds him of. But now, he's worried that he will continue to lean on that tendency for the rest of his life like a crutch, which scares him as he doesn't want to feel it again when they get back home to Alexandria and / or the Commonwealth in the US. Carol, as always, provides a warm chat and an even warmer hug to put her friend at ease.
This right here is the perfect example of why Daryl and Carol have the strongest relationship in the entire TWD Universe. They are two old souls who found each other at the most unlikely of circumstances and connected as a result of that. They have continued to find each other ever since, with Carol tracking down her best friend after he ended up in France. The pair's embrace then was even more emotional as it was the first time that they had been on-screen together since their tearful farewell in the series finale of
Daryl Dixon's third season has been extremely well-received by audiences, but the decision to separate Daryl and Carol midway through the season raised a lot of eyebrows, with fans fearful that it might mean they remained apart for the rest of the season. After all, with Daryl in Barcelona ahead of the season 3 finale, it's understandable that there were doubts he would be back in Solaz del Mar before the end of the season.

Daryl travelled into Barcelona to track down Justina, who had been taken from Solaz del Mar by El Alcazar. He crossed paths with Paz and the two attacked the convoy that had Justina imprisoned. However, they didn't manage to free her, which has set the stage for the season finale. Meanwhile, Carol stayed behind in Solaz del Mar to help Roberto recover, be there for his father Antonio, and prepare the boat for their travels. But, as the trailer for the finale reveals, she will be heading back to town to save Antonio from Fede - meaning that she too will be involved in an all-out showdown.
But the good news is that the duo will find their way back to each other once again, as the clip confirms that Daryl and Carol will indeed be enjoying a good old sit-down by the beach before the credits roll on the finale. We can't help but notice the boat in the background, too. Are they ready to set sail to America? Has the showdown in Solaz del Mar finished, or is it just getting started?
One thing is for sure: Anyone in their way better watch out, because when Daryl and Carol are together, no enemies are safe!
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 wraps up with its season finale on Sunday, October 19, on AMC and AMC+.
